On the Syrian border of southeastern Turkey in a town named Urfa, old-world relics meet modern entertaining in these trays. Ornate but not ostentatious, they are useful to serve from. Each copper platter displays its uniqueness with pride. A non-toxic layer of tin plating is applied while hot resulting in a bright silver finish and more importantly acts as a barrier against the bitter taste of copper. Stored dry, tin plating will last for years.
