Bogolanfini (Mud Cloth) No. 8

Bogolanfini, which translates to "mudcloth", is a hand-dyed cotton textile crafted predominantly by the Bamana people of Mali. The Bogolan technique of dyeing and printing cotton is entirely organic and good for the environment. It contains no harmful chemicals and it uses dried leaves, grapes and tree bark as dye. These large pieces of bogolanfini make very dramatic throws or use for your own do it yourself project.
