Guatemalan Vintage Skirt No. 4

Most cortes/skirts are woven on a very wide foot powered loom. Some are fully woven on a backstrap loom and are actually two very long panels carefully stitched together to hide the seam. Whatever village they are from in Guatemala, the women are still wearing these skirts daily. The amount of work found in this corte is incredible as it is all hand done. This red skirt is thick and tightly woven from the town of San Pedro Hecta. It would be beautiful decorating a table or wall.
