Lenca Hand-Woven Shawls

The Lenca people are one of eight ethnic groups in Honduras. They are direct descendants of the Maya, and they live primarily in the twin towns of La Esperanza and Intibucá in the department of Intibucá. Lenca men and women still dress in their authentic ancestral clothing and can be seen daily at corners of the towns offering their woven textile shawls just like these, made by hand.  These are a go to travel wrap. Hand made, warm, light weight and affordable.
